Eltroxin® หรือ Thyrosit® ต่างก็เป็นชื่อการค้าที่มีตัวยาสำคัญเป็นตัวเดียวกันคือ Levothyroxine1,2 ซึ่งเป็นไทรอยด์ฮอร์โมน ที่ใช้ในการรักษาภาวะที่มีไทรอยด์ฮอร์โมนต่ำ อย่างไรก็ตาม ยานี้อาจมีชื่อพ้องที่หลากหลาย2,3 เช่น
- L-Thyroxine monosodium salt,
- L-Thyroxine sodium,
- Laevoxin, Letter, Levaxin, Levo-T, Levoroxine, Levothroid,
- Levothyroxin-natrium, Levothyroxine sodique [INN-French],
- Levothyroxine sodium, Levothyroxine sodium anhydrous,
- Levothyroxine Sodium [USAN], Levothyroxinum natricum [INN-Latin],
- Levotiroxina sodica [INN-Spanish], Levoxyl, NSC 259940, Oroxine,
- Ro-thyroxine, Roxstan, Sodium l-thyroxin, Sodium L-thyroxine, Sodium levothyroxine,
- Sodium O-(4-hydroxy-3,5-diiodophenyl)-3,5-diiodo-DL-tyrosinate, Sodium thyroxin, Sodium thyroxinate, Sodium thyroxine, Sodium-L-thyroxine,
- Synthroid sodium, Tetroid, Thyradin, Thyradin S,
- Thyro-Tabs, Thyroid, Thyronamin, Thyroxevan, Thyroxin sodium, Thyroxine sodique, Thyroxine sodium, thyroxine, DL-, sodium salt, Thyroxinum natricum, Tiroidina, Unithroid เป็นต้น
ดังนั้น ควรทราบว่า ยา levothyroxine ที่รับประทานอยู่มีชื่อการค้าว่าอะไร เนื่องจากคณะกรรมการอาหารและยาในสหรัฐอเมริกาพบว่า ผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีชื่อการค้าแตกต่างกัน จะมีปริมาณของตัวยาสำคัญและสูตรตำรับที่มีผลต่อตัวยาสำคัญที่แต กต่างกัน จึงแนะนำให้ใช้ levothyroxine ชื่อการค้าเดิมและไม่แนะนำให้เปลี่ยนผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีชื่อการค้าท ี่แตกต่างกัน ถึงแม้จะเป็นตัวยาเดียวกันก็ตาม แต่หากจำเป็นต้องเปลี่ยนชื่อการค้าจริงควรปรึกษาแพทย์หรือเภสัช กรก่อน และจำเป็นต้องค่อยๆ เริ่มปรับขนาดการใช้ยาพร้อมทั้งตรวจติดตามระดับ TSH ในเลือดใหม่เสมอ2
