Clinical/Research Interests:

Dr. Neti Waranuch is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the director of Cosmetics & Natural Products Research Center (CosNat) at Naresuan University. He is also a consultant to the National Nanotechnology Center. He has served in numerous medical associations and board councils. He is often invited as a visiting researcher to countries like Japan and USA. Over the years, he has published more than 30 journals and has even acquired more than 20 patent rights. Dr. Waranuch’s Research interests lie in the area of topical drug delivery and cosmetic formulations. He investigates the possibility, mechanism and pathways that formulation factors can enhance drug delivery into and through the skin. Many strategies including polymer, nano-particles, micro-particles, liposomes, liquid crystal and other vesicular forming technologies are studied for their benefits in both pharmaceutics and cosmetics. One of his achievements is the delivery of bioactive materials into the hair follicles. Many synthetic chemicals and natural products are investigated and formulated for topically used to promote hair growth, cure acne and treat other skin disorders. His current major effort is in the area of “cosmeceuticals” drugs that combine health and beauty.
