This program emphasizes research in pharmacology and toxicology of natural products, drugs, and toxins using diverse research techniques, including in vitro and in vivo studies, aimed at new drug development. Current research includes promising cancer treatment developments from natural products. Faculty expertise in quantitative pharmacology & toxicology, employing computer-based physiologically based pharmacokinetic\/pharmacodynamic modeling, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis, has been successfully applied in studies on drugs and psychoactive substances, including cannabinoids, mitragynine, psilocybin\/psilocin, mescaline, and ketamine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Collaboration extends within Naresuan University faculties and internationally, including Colorado State University and Universit\u00e9 de Franche-Comt\u00e9. A notable project on cyanide leakage from Thai mines, involving our faculty, received a national research award for excellence from the National Research Council of Thailand.<\/span><\/p>\n

The curriculum's philosophy promotes the country's potential in drug and health product innovation through advanced pharmacology and biomolecular sciences, integrating scientific advancements and health sciences. It aims to produce graduates proficient in research, self-directed learning, and the integration of pharmacology and biomolecular sciences with related health and drug sciences, ensuring ethical standards for sustainable national personnel development.<\/span><\/p>\n

The program's importance is threefold: aligning with national and graduate curriculum standards from 2009 and 2015, ensuring modernity and relevance to pharmacology and biomolecular sciences advancements, and responding to the demands of graduates in the public and private sectors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Career prospects include researchers in various institutions, faculty members in health science disciplines, and employees in companies related to health science technologies and products.<\/span><\/p>\n

Expected learning outcomes (ELOs) include the integration of knowledge in pharmacology and biomolecular sciences, continuous self-learning and innovation in health-related products, research publication at national or international levels, data analysis using scientific and mathematical principles, effective use of information technology, academic communication, teamwork adaptability, and adherence to ethical standards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Admission involves selection exams for bachelor's or master's degree holders across various disciplines, conducted by the Graduate School and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, with continuous enrollment throughout the academic year for admission in the first or second semester.
